- 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS
First Day: CUSCO – SANTA ROSA – CHIQUISCA:
Pickup form hotel at 06:30 a.m. and head towards Abancay in bus, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca, to arrive at the District of Limatambo, where we will visit the Archaeological site of Tarawasi. Then we will continue our trip alongside the river until we cross the Cunyac Bridge of the Apurímac River (divides Cusco and Apurímac). We arrive at Cachora at approximately 10am. At this location we will begin our long trek along a beautiful footpath, walking for about 2 hours until arriving at Chiquisca (1930m), our first campsite.
Second Day: CHIQUISCA – PLAYA ROSALINDA – SUNCHUPATA:
Breakfast served at 05:00 a.m. and afterwards we continue with our long walk towards the Play Rosalinda (1550m) and towards Santa Rosa (2100m) where we will have a delicious lunch, where we can converse, notice the climate change and appreciate the beautiful valley.
Third Day: SUNCHUPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO – CHIQUISCA:
After a recuperating night’s rest and delicious breakfast rest, we will begin our long walk towards our goal, the archaeological complex of Choquequirao. Our guide will give us a 3 hour long educational tour. Afterwards, we will begin our descent towards Santa Rosa where we will have our lunch, a good rest, and head towards Chiquisca, the location of our third campsite.
Fourth Day: CHIQUISCA – CAPULINNIYOC – CACHORA:
After a complete breakfast, we direct our energy and motivation towards Capulinniyoc, another two hours for Cachora and from there we depart back to Cusco.
